Megan came to my school to run workshops during a Book Fair. She spent time with both gifted and talented students and students of mixed ability. She was organised, engaging and respectful during her presentations to students, and had them writing beautiful narratives. Tristan was on time, well-prepared and very engaging. He pitched his talk to Year 7s perfectly and it was a good mix of talk, video and music. Students commented very favourably afterwards and hopefully picked up some useful tips for creative writing.

Tim visited us at ATC last week for our annual Literary Festival and the effort & enthusiasm he brought to his presentations was very well-received by students and teachers, alike. The boys really enjoyed learning from Tim and I think we may have converted our 1 'surfie' kid to read his first 'proper' book, Occy's bio 'Occy : The Rise and Fall and Rise of Mark Occilupo'. It was a pleasure to host Frances Whiting at Chermside Library. Frances’s talk had the audience enthralled and the feedback we received from our customers was all very positive. Frances also took the time to speak individually with attendees during her book signing, which was an absolute delight. We would be happy to host Frances again in the future.

Sam Smith is a talented, passionate, and caring individual who made a meaningful impact as the Author Ambassador for Life’s Little Treasures Foundation’s Little Readers Readathon this year. Sam helped us launch the Readathon at Nino ELA where she kept a class of early learners engaged and captivated with eco-games, worm dancing and a reading of Harriet's Hungry Worms. Jacqueline Harvey was brilliant. Not only did she engage the students but the teachers too! I just wanted to thank you on behalf of Ormiston College. Easy to find and book speakers. Much easier than contacting authors individually as many do not answer anyway.

Our recent visit from Matt Condon (and Hugh Lunn) was a great success. The two gentlemen where very entertaining speakers and gracious with their time for the event attendees. Their joint writers’ workshop was well very well attended and received. I certainly would not hesitate to recommend these speakers to other people.

I enjoyed this session and found it very insightful. Creative and fun! Very useful to see how to build ideas without using words and engaging imagination. Unmissable and informative. As a YL teacher I got some useful tips.
