It was a valuable experience for the students to hear about the writing process and how Gus approaches his work. We would happily recommend him to others.

We would just like to feedback how wonderful Lisa and Tracey were. Their presentation is excellent and they worked with our younger and older classes with ease. They were delightful ladies to have - I am not sure they realise how wonderful their work is! Our year twos gave them an encore round of applause!!! Zanni Louise recently visited Lismore Public School to introduce primary students to her new picture book Pigasus as well as her other texts written for children. Leigh was incredibly well organised and extremely engaging for our entire school. He managed to run 3 sessions that were interactive and inspiring for all 900 of our students.

Amanda is truly an inspiration and very well prepared with highly engaging activities. Very inspiring and we welcome her back every year to work with our students.

Josie created engaging and effective writing workshops tailored for multiple year levels. Students were encouraged to carefully plan their creative writing and to show emotions rather than simply tell them strengthening their storytelling skills. The sessions were fun, helpful and exciting, leaving students motivated and inspired.

Our student's at St Joseph's have been reading Corinne's books in for many years and were so excited for her visit. She did not disappoint, and I would highly recommend her to other organisations. She engaged the students by speaking about her writing and was open to questions from our students. Thank you so much Corinne, we cannot wait for you to visit again.

Kate spoke to our year 4, 5 and 6 boys about PAWS in a way which was highly engaging, and appealed to every boy’s love of dogs. She used visual stimulus and personal stories to connect well with our students. The topic of the autism spectrum was dealt with openly, sensitively and in a highly relatable way. Her presentation really helped to foster understanding and break down barriers, and I would highly recommend Kate to schools looking for a rich and valuable experience.

Our visiting students, teachers and library staff greatly enjoyed Jacqueline’s presentations during the Festival. Her adaptability, great sense of humour and professionalism shone through the various workshops that she delivered and were lively and student-centred. We have had terrific feedback from students and families who joined the library service as a result of her passion for writing and libraries.

I wanted to let you know about the success of the Writers’ block event, at Robina branch library and auditorium last Saturday. It was such a good day and the feedback we received on the speakers was overwhelmingly positive. Frances was very engaging, great to work with, and pitched her presentation perfectly for the event. She made it so easy for City Libraries to look good. Thanks for your assistance in finding excellent speakers to make this event so successful.

Samantha hosted a highly captivating, informative, and fun Storytime at our library for Book Week. Being an engaging presenter, Samantha expertly combined an array of storytelling elements, including props, music, costume, and craft into her visit. As such, the children were delighted at seeing Samantha dressed as a carrot and loved her quirky worm puppet.
